A cross between Acer truncatum and Acer platanoides Warrenred, this Oregon clone was selected for its autumn colour of orange and red.
Its ascending but broad crown emerges with green leaves in the spring making it best suited for large gardens and urban verges.
It thrives on most free draining soils and is a tougher bet than some of the Acer rubrum cultivars that have specific soil requirements and Acer freemanii types which can be prone to damage in heavy winds.
Not as long lasting for autumn colour as Liquidambar, the October / November display is nevertheless very striking and its urban toughness makes this clone a great addition to our range of Norway maple types
Mature height:.12-17m
Mature spread: 8-11m
