Description
Naturally forming a small multi stemmed tree, we also grow Amelanchier lamarckii as low panel pleach which can be used in a small garden for privacy or a natural windbreak around an outside eating area. The flat panels are 1.2m wide by 1.7m high and are smothered with early spring flower in April. The oval green leaves turn to yellow, orange and sometimes red in the autumn.
Amelanchier lamarckii panel pleach is ideal for gardens that really have no room for naturally formed trees but are baron without them. Think of them in this form as garden furniture, decorating and softening your outdoor space. Prune back to the shape of the framework every autumn for maintaining in this form.
