Description
This golden leaved form of the superb Indian Bean Tree and was introduced in the late 1870s and won the Award of Merit in 1974.
Like most yellow leaved trees it is best placed in a south facing aspect as shade tends to dull the leaf colour to a light green.
It has large fleshy golden yellow leaves that turn to a yellow green by the time the flowers open in summer.
Often top worked it forms a broadly rounded crown at maturity.
