Deciduous and native to China in the UK it makes a fairly small tree with shiny green tapered foliage.
Tiny green/red bell shaped flowers can be seen from mid to late summer
Female plants produce inedible purple or yellow fruits which resemble small plums.
Best to avoid chalky or wet soils.

Mature spread: 4-8m
