We grow this green fruited fig as a full standard tree, ideal for a centre piece within a small garden. Figs like it hot and their glossy thick leaves gives the tree a look of vitality. Ficus carica Verdino can be pruned in winter to keep the crown nice and tidy. Like all Figs, it may send out a few suckers by its trunk and these can be removed at any time by secateurs as and when you see them emerge. This small tree looks rather exotic but is tougher than you think!
