Description
This exceptional variety is highly favored for municipal planting in the USA. White Ash was introduced to the UK in 1724, but this particular clone stands out for its brilliant autumn color display and sturdy branch structure, surpassing the often troublesome Fraxinus Raywood. A fast-growing, conical tree, Autumn Purple boasts dark green leaves that turn a vibrant reddish-purple in autumn before dropping. As an Ash species, it is exceptionally resilient, thriving on compacted soils and enduring tough urban environments. In its youth, the trunk appears smooth and dark green, making it ideal for large gardens, central reservations, and wide verges.
