A native of South Eastern Europe, Himalaya and China, this well known tree is highly prized for its timber.

It makes a splendid and stately subject for parkland and avenue plantings, developing a broad crown at maturity and preferring full sun.

Thought to have been in cultivation in the UK since Roman times.

Slow growing and of medium to large stature, this rounded Walnut has delightfully aromatic young foliage, from which a wine can be made, followed by a good crop of delicious nuts.
