Description

Introduced in the late 1830s this is an excellent choice of small conifer ideal for gardens and large rockeries.

It won the Award of Garden Merit in 2002.

Its slender and dense form imposes a sense of architectural formality to a garden and it requires little or no maintenance.

It tolerates most soils but does not thrive on waterlogged ground.
