    Lagerstroemia indica Violacea is similar in every way to the cultivar ‘Rosea except for the flowers.
This lovely small tree produces clusters of violet flowers from late August onwards so long as the summer gives enough heat.
Flowers are often initiated in even the dullest summers but do not fully emerge unless we have decent weather in September and October.
It is well worth taking the risk! A beautiful small tree with a rounded somewhat flat-topped growth.
