Description
It is unique from its cultivars in that it has attractive, corky bark which is a feature at all times of the year. Like other Sweet Gum varieties this beautiful tree is at its magnificent best in autumn when it simply seems to burn with crimson and gold.
This tree is best suited to planting where space allows it and does best in fertile, well drained soils. Although it will tolerate most soil conditions, it does not thrive in chalky soils.
