This form of the Tulip Tree has yellow variegation to its leaves and was introduced in the early 1900s.
The British champion I have heard is in Stourhead and stands at over 25 metres tall.
The foliage is at its most striking in the spring. Growing rather smaller than the species this is a medium/large tree with a pyramidal habit.
