A lovely addition to our deciduous Magnolia range producing large canary yellow flowers in April and May.
The flowers are beautifully fragrant sweet melon comes to mind!

Like other Magnolias, this tree will grow on most soils, preferring a free draining and slightly sheltered aspect to protect flowers from the frost.
It is vigorous and has an ascending habit when young broadening with age.
