This Magnolia was bred in the US National Arboretum in 1963 and is a cross between Magnolia lilliflora and Magnolia sprengeri ‘Diva’.
It is a seedling sister of ‘Spectrum’. Such a glamorous tree we once supplied them in full flower to a private house in London and a day later the neighbouring property ordered some as well.
Galaxy is a medium sized tree of conical habit formed by its ascending branches that broaden at maturity.
