Description

A most elegant crab introduced from Japan in the early 1860s but prone to suffer badly from Apple Scab after flowering rendering the crown to look rather threadbare from June onwards.

Very early to flower the crimson buds open to reveal white or pale blush blossom making this one of the most attractive crabs.

The plentiful and long lasting fruits are greenish-yellow with a hint of red to them.

Good for gardens verges and parks.
