Another Canadian crab developed in the 1950s.
I have mentioned before that we recommend one white one pink and one upright apple well this is the pink.
The autumn colour of clear yellow is an added bonus but the main reasons we rate it so highly is its resistance to pest and disease as well as its glorious floral display.
A tree of medium size it is rather columnar when young but the crown becomes rounded at maturity.
The leaves gradually turn from copper-red to bronze-green and rose pink flowers are followed by numerous elongated fruits which last well.
Rudolph is resistant to scab and is particularly good as both a garden tree and for urban verge plantings.
If you live in an area prone to rabbits or deer then we recommend rabbit guards for these trees
Mature height: 3-7m
Mature spread: 3-5m
