Description

This form of Colorado blue spruce is slow growing but highly ornamental.

Introduced in the mid 1950s it won the Award of Garden Merit in 2002 and like most conifers it prefers free draining soils.

Vividly glaucous blue leaves and dense conical habit make this small tree a real contrast in a garden or parkland setting.

It is so slow to grow that it is perceived as expensive for its size supplied but it offers a unique colour to a garden.
