Description

Introduced in the early 1900s this unusual cherry won the Award of Garden Merit in 2002.

Sometimes imported as top grafted from the continent. This is a false economy in the long term as the top can outgrow the bottom.

We would advise base grafted trees.

A vigorous rounded medium size tree with a rather spreading crown it has unusual pale yellow flowers tinged with green and occasionally flushed with pink.

They are semi-double and work well with the young bronze foliage.

Its large green leaves produce a great autumn display of red and purple.

Mature height: 3-7m

Mature spread: 4-6m
