Description

The Cypress Oak used to be seed grown which resulted in variability in its form so now the industry standard is the uniformly narrow clone ‘Koster’ which is grafted onto Quercus robur rootstock.

It won the Award of Garden Merit in 2002.

Common Oak is such a wonderful tree for wildlife that for restricted areas this clone makes it possible to plant one.

It thrives best in more rural environments where soil volumes are greater to support its growth.

Mature height: 17-22m

Mature spread: 3-5m
