The Pussy Willow has been loved by generations of children and is often associated with Easter where the stems are used for decorative displays

Sometimes referred to as Goat Willow it is a tough prospect for industrial areas that need rapid greening.

One of our native Willows this makes a small rounded tree and is often found by rivers and streams as it thrives in damp soil.

It is particularly noted for its silver-white furry catkins which open to yellow in spring.
