Description

The edible berries of this Mountain Ash can be used to make Rowan jelly.

Thought to have been introduced in the very early 1800s it is sometimes also classified under the varietal names ‘Moravica’ or ‘Dulcis’.

A vigorous and very hardy tree which is of medium size and broadly oval at maturity.

It has larger leaves than the species – and large berries too. A good choice for gardens and urban areas it thrives on most soils.
