Product details

This wonderful native tree is often associated with Scotland.

It certainly suits bird life as the profuse red autumn berries provide a lot of autumnal sustenance.

We grow this multi-stemmed rather than in standard form as they are not regular in shape and it is better to opt for a clone such as Rossica Major if uniformity is required.

Rowans prefer shorter day lengths and do not thrive in areas with excessive reflective heat and light such as paved and other hard surfaces.

Best planted in parkland or verges it is arguably our prettiest native tree.

We stock these as both single and multi-stemmed.

Mature height: 3-7m

Mature spread: 4-8m
