Description
This stunning little tree produces a great floral display of creamy yellow flowers in late spring / early summer. It grows on most free draining soils and is a great choice for a small garden as it rarely grows beyond 7 metres tall.
As it matures you'll be rewarded with rich cinnamon coloured peeling bark, adding year round interest.
It will not thrive in wet ground and has the bonus of a glorious autumnal display when its leaves turn a luminescent yellow / gold. Nectar loving insects and birds love this tree in flower so it is a real asset to any environment especially if you like butterflies.
It requires little maintenance making it a highly desirable urban tree. It’s canopy forms a rounded shape over time, becoming nearly as wide as it is tall.
