The Tamarisk is so evocative of old fashioned Mediterranean fishing villages.
Introduced way back in 1821 this won the Award of Garden Merit in 2002.
Although primarily thought of as a coastal plant it can make a fine garden tree inland so long as it is not planted on shallow chalk.
We offer this as a small standard tree with a rounded crown.
Its light pink flowers are freely produced in May / June. A tough subject which does well in light sandy soils.
