The native English Yew is a tree of many mystical and religious associations.

Incredibly long lived the oldest reported is in Llangernyw Wales and is estimated to be 4000 years old with a circumference of 16 metres.

The trees capacity for regeneration is outstanding; especially considering it is a conifer.

A medium tree of conical appearance its hard wood can support this evergreen to a great age.

Often used for hedging it also makes a fine specimen tree.

Very good for parks and gardens. All parts of the tree are poisonous.

It can grow on highly calcareous or highly acidic soils if there is good drainage.

We stock these in both bush form and clear stem.
