Description
Introduced in 1865 from Japan this sturdy Magnolia is both very hardy and versatile.
Unlike the other magnolias we supply, this only flowers at its full potential after about 15 years but as we supply them well over five years old it isn’t too long to wait!
In between time you will have a decent display rather than a sensational one.
We grow this medium size round headed tree as a full standard and recommend it for planting on verges and in parkland.

This is definitely the best choice for neutral to high ph soils.
